Brown and Cony

Abbreviation
Sc = single crochet
Dc = double crochet
Ch = chain
St = stitch
Sts = stitches
BLO = back loop only
FLO = front loop only
Rnd = round
INC = increase = work 2sc in one stitch
DC= decrease = 2 single crochet together = 2sctog
Sl st = slip stitch

Material
1.25 mm hook
I used cotton thread to make these patterns, the difference of yarn size gives the difference size of the dolls, with this 1,25 mm cotton thread, I have a 5 inches (~13cm)  tall Brown .

Leg (make 2) use white yarn for Cony and brown yarn for Brown
Rnd 1: magic ring, 6sc into that ring. (6sts)
Rnd 2: INC in each st around. (12 sts)
Rnd 3: (1 sc in next st, INC) repeat 6 times. (18sts)
Rnd 4: (1sc in each of the next 2 sts, INC) repeat 6 times. (24sts)
Rnd 5: (1sc in each of the next 3 sts, INC) repeat 6 times. (30sts)
Rnd 6-10: sc in each st around. Sl st, fasten off, then make second leg, don’t sl st, join legs with a sl st, from this step on, we’re making the body and the head.

Body & head: use white yarn for Cony and brown yarn for Brown
TIP:
-         DEC in front loop.
-         In this intruction, to have a beautiful body shape, I decrease on both side of the body.
Rnd 1-3: sc in each st around two legs (60 sts)
Rnd 4: sc in the next 11 sts, DEC x 3, sc in the next 26 sts, DEC x 3, sc in the next 11 sts. (54 sts)
Rnd 5-7: sc in each st around. (54 sts)
Rnd 8: sc in the next 12 sts, DEC x 2, sc in the next 24 sts, DEC x 2, sc in the next 10 sts. (50 sts)
Rnd 9: sc in each st around. (50 sts)
Rnd 10: sc in the next 12 sts, DEC x 2, sc in the next 21 sts, DEC x 2, sc in the next 9 sts. (46sts)
Rnd 11: sc in each st around. (46 sts)
Rnd 12: sc in the next 11 sts, DEC x 2, sc the next 19 sts, DEC x 2, sc in the next 8 sts. (42sts)
Rnd 13: sc in each st around. (42 sts)
Rnd 14: sc in the next 10 sts, DEC x 2, sc in the next 7 sts. (38sts)
Rnd 15: sc in each st around. (38 sts)
Rnd 16: sc in the next 9 sts, DEC x 2, sc in the next 15 sts, DEC x 2,  sc in the next 6 sts. (34 sts)
Rnd 17: sc in each st around. (34sts)
Rnd 18: sc in the next 9 sts, DEC x 2, sc in the next 12 sts, DEC X 2, sc in the next 5 sts. (30 sts)
Rnd 19: sc in each st around (30 sts)
Rnd  20: (sc in the next 2 sts, INC) repeat 10 times. (40 sts)
Rnd 21: (sc in the next 3 sts, INC) repeat 10 times. (50 sts)
Rnd 22: (sc in the next 4 sts, INC) repeat 10 times. (60 sts)
Rnd 23-37: sc in each st around. Attach the safety eyes between round 32 and 33. The distance between two eyes is 7 sc.
Rnd 38: (sc in the next 8 sts, DEC) reapeat  6 times. (54 sts)
Rnd 39: (sc in the next 7 sts, DEC) reapeat  6 times. (48 sts)
Rnd 40: (sc in the next 6 sts, DEC) reapeat 6 times. (42 sts)
Rnd 40: (sc in the next 5 sts, DEC) repeat 6 times. (36 sts)
Rnd 41: (sc in the next 4 sts, DEC) repeat 6 times. (30 sts)
Rnd 42: (sc in the next 3 sts, DEC) repeat 6 times. (24 sts)
Rnd 43: (sc in the next 2 sts, DEC) repeat 6 times. (18 sts)
Rnd 44: (sc, DEC) repeat 6 times. (12 sts)
Rnd 40: DEC around. (6 sts), fasten off, leave a long tail to sew the gap.

Brown’s Ears ( make 2) brown yarn
Rnd 1: magic ring, sc 6 into the ring. (6 sts)
Rnd 2: INC in each st around. (12sts)
Rnd 3: (sc, INC) repeat 6 times. (18 sts)
Rnd 4-6: sc in each st around.
Fasten off, leave a long tail to sew the ears to the body.

Cony’s ears (make 2) white yarn
Rnd 1: magic ring with 6 sc. (6sts)
Rnd 2: INC in each st around. (12 sts)
Rnd 3: (sc, INC) repeat 6 times.(18 sts)
Rnd 4: (sc in the next 2 sts, INC) repeat 6 times. (24 sts)
Rnd 5-9: sc in each st around.
Rnd 10: (sc in each of the next 2 st, DEC) repeat 6 times. (12 sts)
Rnd 11-12: sc in each st around, fasten off leave a long yarn tail to sew the ears to Cony’s body

Arms: (make 2) use white yarn for Cony and brown yarn for Brown
Rnd 1: magic ring with 6 sc. (6sts)
Rnd 2: INC in each st around. (12 sts)
Rnd 3: (sc, INC) repeat 6 times.(18 sts)
Rnd 4: (sc in the next 2 sts, INC) repeat 6 times. (24 sts)
Rnd 5-8: sc in each st around.
Rnd 9: (sc in the next 2 sts, DEC) repeat 6 times. ( 18 sts)
Rnd 10-14: sc in each st around.
Rnd 15: (sc, DEC) repeat 6 times. ( 12sts)
Rnd 16-17: sc in each st around. Fasten off leave a long tail to sew the arms to the body.

Muzzle
There are two ways to make a muzzle:
1.     I used felt, I cut it into a small cirle then I embroidered the details on it. Then I attached it to the Brown’s face.

2.     You can crochet the muzzle and then embroider the details on:

Rnd1 : Starting with a magic ring, 6 sc into the ring. (6sts)
Rnd 2 : inc in each st around. (12 sts)
Rnd 3: (sc, INC) repeat 6 times. (18 sts)
Rnd 4: sc in each st aroung. Fasten off, leave a long tail to sew it to the face after you embroidered the detail.

Brown’s Bow: black yarn
Step 1:
Chain 9
Row 1: start at 2nd chain from hook, sc in the next 8 sts. (8 sts)
Row 2: chain 1, turn, sc in the next 8 sts. (8 sts)
Row 3-4: chain 1, turn, sc in the next 8 sts (8 sts). Fasten off. Hide the yarn tail behind the single crochet of  the wrong side.
Step 2:
Chain 3, fasten off, leave the long tails at both side of the chain, place that chain 3 at the middle of the bow, tight knot.

Brown’s Hat black yarn
Rnd1 : Starting with a magic ring, 6 sc into the ring. (6sts)
Rnd 2 : inc in each st around. (12 sts)
Rnd 3: (sc, INC) repeat 6 times. (18 sts)
Rnd 4: working on back loop only, sc in each st around ( 18 st)
Rnd 5-7: working on both loop, sc around.
Rnd 8: working on Front loop only, INC in each st around. (36 sts)
Sl st, leave a long yarn tail to sew the hat to the head.

Cony’s Rose
Row 1: chain 15

Row 2: ( 1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 sl st) in the 2nd st from hook, (1sc, 1dc) in next st, (1dc,1sc) in next st, (1sc, 1dc) in next st, (1dc,1sc) in next st,
[ (1sc,1dc) in next st, 3triple crochet in next st, (1dc, 1sc) in next st ] , repeat [*]  two more time.

Fasten off and rolling up the rose petals into shape, use the remaining yarn tail to fix the rose into position.

Cony’s dress
Chain 46
Row 1: start at the 4th chain from hook, dc in that chain, dc in each of the next 8 sts, make 3 dc in next st, dc in each of the next 22 sts, make 3 dc in next st, dc in each of the next 10 sts. (48sts)

Row 2: chain 2, turn, dc in the next 10 st, , make 3 dc in next st, dc in each of the next 24 sts, make 3 dc in next st, dc in each of the next 11 sts. (52sts)

Row 3: sc in each of the next 6 sts, chain 8, skip 14 sts sl st to the 15th st, sc in each of the next 14 sts, chain 8, skip 14 sts sl st to the 15th st, sc in the next 6 sts, sl st to the first sc of this row.

Row 4: chain 2, dc in the next 5 sts, dc 8 times on the chain string, dc in the next 10 sts, dc 8 times on the 2nd chain string, dc in the next 6 sts, sl st to the chain 2 ( which is considering at the first dc of this row).

Row 5-8: chain 2, dc in each st around, always sl st at the end of each row. Fasten off.
